Why we’re building dependable AI workers, and how we’ll do it.

Hi 👋 I am Yassir Haouati, Founder & CEO of DeGNZ Labs. I am a deep-tech researcher and digital systems engineer. For five years I co-founded and co-led a deep-tech company through the messy middle that every growing team knows. Hiring accelerated, customers multiplied, and one question kept waking me up at night: do we truly know how our work moves, where it slows, and how to scale it without burning people out?

Why DeGNZ

I tried everything that seemed reasonable at the time. We drew flows on whiteboards, wrote playbooks in Notion wikis, spreadsheets, and dashboards, and asked managers for weekly status reports. It helped, but only a little. As the team passed twenty people, the real picture of operations kept slipping out of view. I could feel energy leaking through handoffs, rework, and delays. What I needed was one place to see the work as it actually happened, and a reliable way to give parts of that work to AI workers who could learn and improve beside us.

I have been following automation since 2017, when most talk was about marketing sequences and triggers. Then came conversational AI, then agentic behavior. The promise grew, yet a pattern stayed the same. Without a clear model of the operation, AI showed up as disconnected pilots. It created demos, not dependable help. That experience formed a simple conviction in me: if we map the work clearly, then we can hire AI workers into real roles, and do it in a way that protects the rhythm of the team.

In October 2024, with my previous company on stable footing, I decided to build the system I could not find. DeGNZ Labs was born with one mission: to provide infrastructure where humans and AI workers run business processes together, closing execution and management gaps to accelerate growth. My vision is straightforward: every company fields a reliable, scalable, and continuously improving AI workforce that runs core operations.

The name “DeGNZ” borrows the energy of early builders (degens × Gen Z). To me it means courage to try early, community before ego, and progress through shared learning. Risk is not recklessness; it is a builder’s choice to solve a real problem in public, with integrity and care for the people affected. That is the spirit I want inside the lab.

What we’re building

We are building AI Operations Infrastructure that makes autonomy feel like adding a dependable teammate. There is a living map of how work truly flows, a place to design and hire AI workers with a clear purpose, a training ground where they practice with guidance, a control center where teams run the day in calm, and a market where proven workers can be discovered and reused. Creators can even earn when others hire their workers. None of this is magic. It is simply the right structure for teams that want reliability and speed at the same time.

If you are tired of pilots that never graduate, or dashboards that tell you what happened but not how to improve it, this is for you. If you want AI to help your people do their best work, not replace their judgment, this is for you.

DeGNZ grows through three active circles. Operators build and steward the ecosystem. Builders use the Studio to model processes and deploy AI workforces. Ambassadors carry the spirit outward, sharing wins and lessons. Together they make the platform better every week.

I believe the future of work is not machine against human. It is human spirit, craft, and judgment supported by AI workers that carry the load and learn from the best of us. I believe companies can grow faster and feel calmer at the same time. I believe transparency and accountability can expand, not shrink, as AI joins the team.

Join us

If this vision feels right to you, I would be honored to build it together. Create an account and get early access to DeGNZ AI Studio. Or join our community, meet the operators and builders who are already here, and help shape what comes next.

Together we grow ✊

Best regards,

Yassir Haouati
